Cheapest BSL monitor?

While most of us have gotten our glucose meters for free, everyone knows it’s the strips that cost us. Many “top-of-the line” units cost nearly $1.00 a piece for test strips.

I have found one, the ReliOn Ultima, which sells at Wal-Mart for $8.88 (You can also call them at 800.992.3612 and get a free testing unit), and the test strips can be bought at Wal-Mart (or Sams Club) for under $.50 per test strip, and sometimes even lower in larger quantities than 50.

For those of us that we don’t have insurance or medicaid to help pay for such costs every penny counts and using a lot of test strips can cost you a significant amount.
