Mmm…healthy Paleo chocolate flourless cake, key lime pie, banana bundt cake, and more…seriously!
There I was, sitting at my kitchen table as my wife pulled out a piping hot flourless chocolate cake from the oven — It smelled incredible!
And it tasted even BETTER than it smelled! All of the gooey chocolatey goodness of a regular cake, packed into a healthier Paleo version — loaded with antioxidants, fiber, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals…but 100% gluten-free, grain-free, and lower in sugar than normal cakes.
In fact, this mini-chocolate flourless cake was made with healthy ingredients like eggs, coconut oil, honey, cacao, sea salt, stevia, dark chocolate, etc.
Compare that to any “normal” chocolate cake you’d buy in a store, which is a disaster for your health, loaded with corn syrup solids, hydrogenated oils, refined sugar, refined wheat flour and other terrible ingredients that destroy your body.
The idea of making a healthy cake that actually tastes good and is Paleo-friendly might sound ridiculous to some people — but I can assure you after trying the Paleo flourless chocolate cake I described above, it is a reality!
And if you know a few secrets about baking truly healthy in a Paleo way, it turns out that with the right ingredients, you can make almost ANY dessert legitimately healthy.
That’s why I’m excited to announce that Certified Nutritional Therapist and incredible Paleo Baker Kelsey Ale has been working for months now to create a cookbook that shows you EXACTLY how to do this. (You can get a copy of her new healthy desserts cookbook, Paleo Sweets, for a limited time as a way that she’s celebrating the release of this new cookbook)
My wife and I have been enjoying some of our favorite desserts — brownies, cakes, cookies, pies, ice cream, and even cheesecakes… but done in a truly healthy way! And we’re not talking about what the media thinks is “healthy”, where it’s low-fat and tastes like cardboard… No, we’re talking about loaded with healthy fats so that everything is actually rich and creamy, while being lower in sugar!
We recently tried her “Bananoffee” Pie recipe, and it was out of this world! It was one of the best pies I’ve ever had — and it felt great to know that instead of destroying my digestion with wheat, gluten and sugar, we were eating something that was actually GOOD for us.
Here are some other examples of tasty delicious desserts that Kelsey shows you how to make healthy versions of in her book:
(ALL of these are Paleo and have ZERO gluten, added refined sugar, soy, and even dairy if you want)
–Banana Bundt Cake
-Flourless Fudge Brownie Bites
-Graham Cracker Crust
-Peach Melba Pie
–Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
-Key Lime Pie
-Salted Caramel Ice Cream
Plus LOTS more delicious decadent desserts that help improve your health instead of destroying it!
